Grand Finale, Part One of One Hundred

It's our last night is Peru. I have been a bad, bad blogger. Apologies for the delay - SO much to blog about: our last full day in Cuzco, including the Fallen Angel night previous, our backpacker train to Aguas Calientes (or Machu Picchu Pueblo), our night in the best hotel yet (Inti Inn), Machu Picchu itself (seriously the Grand Finale, including my trek up to WaynaPicchu, another 1000 vertical feet literally above Machu Picchu where only 400 people per day get to climb - and yes, Beth and Talia waited for me - and yes, the weather was great while I was climbing and it only started pouring rain as I was leaving the site), our exhausting same-day train ride back to Cusco, our easy flight to Lima today, and Beth and my Grand Finale dinner of ceviche and swordfish and Pisco Sours and Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon...

I will enter details when I return to the states. Right now, I have had too much to drink and have too many details floating around in my head.

This is my place holder. T is sleeping (long siesta for her today), Beth is buying water, and I am blogging.

P.S. I met someone this morning ins Cusco who is the travel editor for the Independent in London, and he interviewed me on tape this morning. I will post a link when he sends it to me. I will be famous.
